Keeping you up-to-date |
November 2004 |
|
|
Greetings!
It was a great trip to SAT-7 Network 2004. Thank- you for all the
prayers and support during this time. It made the difference. November
continues to be a very busy month for us. We appreciate each one of you
and your partnership with us!

Our stop over in Athens, Greece |
 |
We began our trip to the SAT-7 Network 2004 meetings in Cyprus with a
stop-over in Athens, Greece (That was the closest to Cyprus that
Cindy's mileage award ticket could get her). As soon as we arrived, we
got into our comfortable shoes and started off on a walking tour. We
were within walking distance to the Acropolis and the Platza. We ended
our day on the rooftop of the hotel watching the sunset and the
illumination of the lights on the Acropolis.

Network 2004 |
 |
Network 2004 was a refreshing time. The program was presented in a
"live television broadcast format" with a roving anchor doing many
live impromptu interviews. It was all very interesting and we came
away re-focused and re-energized about the ministry. Dennis was
involved in a lot of meetings. Cindy "launched" a new career by
running the controls for the stage lighting for the meetings which she
found enjoyable and actually fun.

Vision Trip to Egypt |
 |
Network was barely over and we found ourselves flying on to Cairo,
Egypt with the Vision Team. We had four days packed full of
activities. It was amazing to see the Pyramids and the ancient city of
Alexandria but that paled in comparison to seeing the impact SAT-7 is
having in that area. God is working in the Middle East! (More details
coming in the Christmas "Footprint" letter)!

Cindy Hospitalized in Cyprus |
 |
As wonderful as the trip was there was one element that cast a slight
shadow over it all. Cindy had been fighting a cold /bronchitis for six
weeks prior to the trip. About four days into the trip her cough
worsened. By the time we returned to Cyprus after the Egypt trip, she
saw a doctor who thought she should be hospitalized. So for the next
52 hours she was in a private clinic and hooked up to IV's for
treatment of Bronchial Pneumonia. Because of your prayers, she was
able to make the trip home as scheduled. Her doctor in KC did confirm
pneumonia and she is under doctors orders now to rest.

Travels in November |
 |
Dennis has had four days at home before he takes off for Ohio. He will
be involved in two missions conferences and a ministry briefing in the
Cleveland area. Pray that he would clearly share what God is doing in
the hearts of millions in the Middle East and North Africa. Pray for
good health and strength.
